As a sports writer and editor I have reported on major tournaments and matches, but in recent years my area of specialisation has been the business of sport. Or #SportsBiz as it is hashtagged on the socials.

With sectors such as sports media, sports tourism and sports marketing growing at a fast rate, these days there’s as much to report about off the field of play as there is on it.  

One sector of sports business that has seen substantial growth over the past decade is sports meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE).

Media services for #SportsBiz events

‘On the ground’ reporting

One service that I offer as a media professional is live content creation for organisers of sports business events. I can provide “on the ground” news reports from sports industry conferences and also write in-depth interviews and features throughout an event.

This content can either be written, edited and uploaded direct to an event organisers’ website or sent to the in-house editorial team directly. Content can come in the form of articles, print publications, blog posts, running blogs, LinkedIn articles or digital newsletters.

Another area of my sports media expertise is producing live newspapers, magazines and print publications at conferences and events.

Having worked for at least 15 years on print titles I understand the pressures of producing daily publications and what’s needed to create interesting content that will educate as well as entertain.

Korea sports tourism magazines

I previously worked on a number of projects with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in London. As part of its drive to promote sports travel to South Korea I was commissioned by the KTO to produce and publish a sports tourism newspaper for World Travel Market (WTM).

I was also commissioned to publish a number of sport, health and well-being magazines for KTO trade shows across Europe.

I wrote, designed and edited the publications and arranged for the printing and delivery to the exhibition location. The publications were then distributed to visitors of the KTO stands at the events.

Video production and photography

Through my trusted partners – London-based company Burst Pictures – we can also provide video production and editing services for sports business events. Video and multimedia content can be tailored for websites, YouTube and social media channels.
